PorterDeck provides outstanding protection for exterior woods such as pressure treated wood, redwood, and cedar. Its deep-penetrating alkyd-oil/urethane formula protects the wood from damaging elements such as water and the ultraviolet rays of the sun. It also resists mildew and algae. PorterDecks one coat system may be easily applied by brush, roller, or sprayer.
Water Repellency
PorterDeck beads water to seal and protect against water damage.
UV Protection
PorterDeck's unique blend of UV light stabilizers and transparent oxide pigments protects the wood from the sun's damaging ultraviolet rays.
Mildew and Algae Resistant Coating
PorterDeck contains agent that provide outstanding resistance against the growth of mildew and algae on the surface of the coating film.
Deep Penetrating Formula
PorterDeck penetrated deep into the surface to strengthen and condition the wood, providing a highly durable finish that stands up to the rigors of daily foot traffic.
Ease of Application
PorterDeck is a one coat system that may be applied immediately to new pressure treated wood.
Where to Use:
PorterDeck Transparent Stain is for use on new or weathered exterior pressure treated wood, redwood, or cedar wood surfaces such as decks, fences, play sets, log homes, siding, outdoor furniture and more.
Surface Preparation:
Surfaces to be stained must be clean, dry, and free of mildew, dust, dirt, grease, etc. Clean, weathered, dirty or mildewed surfaces with PorterDeck Cleaner. Rinse and allow to dry completely before applying PorterDeck Transparent Stain.
Drying Time:
To touch: 8 hours
For traffic: 24 hours
NOTE: Dry time may be affected by weather conditions, porosity, moisture content and species of the wood.
Clean-Up:
Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with Porter Thinner No. 5132 or mineral spirits. Properly store or dispose of soiled rags, rollers, brushes, etc. in a water filled metal container with a sealable lid.
