Everything about this chair is heavy-duty yet it is still stylish. We build it from your choice of durable premium Treated Southern Pine or Ipe woods. The sturdy leg foundation is made with thick 2x8 boards and 2x6 boards (all 2x6 boards for Ipe chairs). The Treated Pine chair seat, back and arms are made with full 1" inch thick boards while the Ipe chair is 3/4" inch thick boards. If you think this chair is just made to be durable than you will be very pleased with the comfortable sloped seat, the tapered arms. For a style twist you can order the chair with the front face board scalloped or left straight. Added bonus, this chair has a built-in anti-theft feature (i.e. weight) that will discourage most thieves as well as withstand strong winds.
