Large Selection Our large selection of Adirondack chairs includes our "Clarks Original" chair designs that we build in house as well as supplementary Adirondack furniture built by quality American manufacturers. We Build the Historical Westport Adirondack Chairs Adirondack chair history is unclear if the Westport chair is actually the chair many people believe to be the original, but nevertheless it is the one in the history books. Just like the original Westport chair our version is very comfortable and built with wide 9" inch arms and a solid one piece back. We build it with your choice of either Kentucky Yellow Poplar or Mahogany wood. This is a real unique chair as well as a wonderful representation of American history. Painted Adirondack Chairs Nothing protects wooden Adirondack chairs from harmful UV rays or captivates the beauty of them better than a quality paint finish. You can order our "Clarks Originals" chairs stained or painted. We use high quality Sherwin Williams, Porter Paint and Messmer's paint products. We have several exciting colors for you to pick from. Classic Adirondack Chairs "Strong and Comfortable" Common by the 1940's Classic Adirondack chairs had become an icon of American suburban and country life. These older traditional chairs had straight raked backs and large extra wide arms that you could sit on. Staying true to tradition, our "Classic" chairs are made with extra wide arms, but we have added some improvements.
